Vortex Caps

Does anyone know which Vortex Gas Cap assembly fits the GS? I know I have read on here that many of the early 90's suzukis had the same caps but I wanted to make sure before I ordered one because they are expensive and plus I don't even remember what suzukis were around in the early 90's. I plan to give Vortex a call tomorrow. Would a GSXR1100 cap from 93 fit? My bike is a 93. Any comments and advice is appreciated.

I called this morning and they said the caps for the GSXR's will fit but they were still unclear on it. They asked if my cap base had four bolts and of course it does not, it has eight I think. So who knows?

Your in luck! I know! The cap only appears to have eight. Four of the bolts are fake. I know this because I just took my cap off three nights ago to get my tank painted. Awesome, I feel so helpfull!

I looked on ebay and some guys had the caps that fit gsxr1100's also listed as fitting the gs500.

Hey that is great news about four bolts Briggs. Reknelb, the guy at Vortex said that the GSXR caps will indeed fit the GS so I think I will take a chance and order one. If it works, good, if not, then I can always send it back of course eating shipping. I am just sick of the key thing in the stock cap. I will let you guys know how it goes once I get it.
