So I got a set of Jets coming from Dguyver (Thanks)

I got 150 Mains and 40 Pilots.

I'm putting them on hopefully as soon as I get them.
My question is: Would I need to install the pod filter & slip on prior to installing the 150's?
I'm planning on getting that stuff within the next 2 weeks, but I want to know if the bike will be unrideable if I install the 150 mains without changing all that stuff around first. Thanks.

from what I've read it would be unrideable until you get the total setup. those big mains and the less restrictive air filter should be considered an unsplittable set.

drop the 40 pilots in now though unless you only want to open the carbs once.

when i was doing all my research a month or so ago, it seemed the general consensus was to to wait till you got everything to put them in. You could drop in the pilots, but struglling the stock airbox in and out a couple times would b e a pain in the ass.  LIfe is much easier if you get the large, single K&N pod. It all comes out together.

Yup... 150 = K&N pods.
Cool.

OK, I have the slip on coming from an Ebay purchase, and a K&N Hopefully arriving around the same time as the jets. Now I know I'm gonna be a lazy biatch and not get the exhaust to a welder for at least another month. But just the filter with the 150's should suffice?

Its 145 without the pipe.. but it wont be too bad... But I've never tried it. Instinct tells me it wont be that bad. BUt rich problems are more severe than lean... go 2 sizes under and you almost dont feel it... go 2 over and it will make you pay for it...
