My front brake isn't engaging at all.  The brake fluid is full and clean, but when you engage the brake, it has almost no resistance and the brake caliper doesn't move at all.  Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Did you loosen any of the bolts or dump out the resivore <sp>? This would let air into the line.

no, i haven't done anything to them yet... i just took the cover off to make sure the fluid was ok.  The reservoir has a good seal and it never tilted for air to get in.  I bought the bike 1 week ago and this is how it was, so i can't comment on what has happened.  What steps should i take first?

Bleed them. There is air in the line.
