Does any one know of where or how I can eliminate my gas tank lock and make it a screw on and off cap?

You can try dennis kirk 1-800-328-9280, looking at their catalog they offer them for Suzuki bikes-they don't list one for the gs but I'd think that the parts should cross referance they have one for a sv650and for the bandit gsf600s-maybe another reader can check the differences...in the cat.there called keyless gas caps made of billit aluminum crome or 5 colors-- :o  just checked price there $66 for the base and $36 for the top,
again just info I did'nt price these suckers.... :dunno:
question:if a gs rider did a "stoppie" on a cliff would you?welcome to America where opinions rain free--choose your own.....

Try Lockhart Phillips (800-221-7291)
LP gas cap base $50, cap $26
Balck, Hard anodized (gold), silver and blue
The silver cap is priced at $30 for some reason
Just get the Suzuki base. It fits all Suzuki model.

You could eliminate the need for a key and make it so it can be opened with a screwdriver....and it is free.
Common sense in not very common.

Leave it to a GS owner to look for the cheap alternative :P

You gonna carry a screwdriver with you all the time? Might as well use the key :dunno:

Just offering the suggestion since it seems most GS owners are broke dic...I mean frugal.

I would not spend the money for one on my TLR. Heck, $80 is half a track day! Priorities  ;)

I busted mine up with a screwdriver and the ignition key will turn it.
