Things I did today :)

Today was a great day so I took my bike out for a ride  I went a bit out east on LI, and got the bike up a little past 100 indicated on the speedo.  I figure if I gave it more gas and got a bit closer to the tank, 110+ could be possible, but I'm not likely to try that  Road was clear ahead of me, and the only car in front was doing at least 85.  Soo... I was bad and went excessively fast to test out my bike  

Then I went down the road that I crashed and burned on last year.  Lots of twists and turns.  The curve I lowsided on... I finally did see the little, non-reflective painted wood signs that warn of a curve ahead hidden in the trees.  The road goes up, then down and sharp to the left... definitely a blind curve    I stayed on the gas and went through fine turned around, did it again, and on the way back, stopped and put my bike way off the shoulder on the outside.  There was a big sandy area.  I looked around, and found some assorted car parts, and bits from different motorcycles    I found a matching set of mirrors and a turn signal from a sportbike that got eaten by the curve!  So, I don't feel so bad anymore... I was just inexperienced, but those guys probably overcooked it going over the rise in the road and wiped out.  That turn eats vehicles!

Oh, and for a useful question, does anyone know how to get a replacement windscreen from Givi?  Over the winter, about 100+ pounds of snow fell on me and my bike while I was trying to dig it out, and cracked the smoked polycarbonate on my A755.  Now it rattles and vibrates, and pisses me off.  It cracked around one of the mounting nuts.  Everything else is good, so all I need is the windscreen (not the whole fairing) and maybe 1 or 2 mounting nuts.
