If you think you can, don't. Many things start with "I think I can," and end with "Ow!"

Quote from: 70 Cam GuyI'm a student at San Jose State majoring in Industrial Technology: Manufacturing Systems.  minor is business management

I currently work at a CNC/manual machine shop.  Its all contract work.

I'm having an internal dilemma or sorts because I enjoy my classes but I'm almost enjoying the shop more.  I still want my degree because enventually I think I'll want a desk job or something with less potential hearing damage (some of us wear ear plugs on the job).

What is a sparky?  Is that a name for welders?  Welding is something else I'd really like learn more of.  The local JC has some welding classes I've considered taking more for fun than anything.

Didn't the Industrial tech dept at SJSU get cut BIG TIME!!!

I work for New York State as a Computer / Network Technician / Webmaster. I also do a lot of basic SysAdmin tasks. before being a computer guy I worked in Security through college. I also worked with Juvenile Delinquents in a group home for a while. My brother and I also have our own computer business on the side, mostly for home users and small businesses.

The future? I'd like to become a System / Network Administrator  :thumb:

Yah, I get bored everyonce in a while and type somethng random into the "Search" box and pick something I feel is interesting. Good way to pass the time ;)

Besides, all hell will break loose if you start a thread on a topic that was already started. The Search Function Police can and will issue a beat down  :o (they know who they are, aye).

I'm a freshman mechanical engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin.

I used to work at the local grocery store through summer of '04 and my senior year, but I'm going to try and get an internship this upcoming summer.

Wow. We have a lot of mechanical engineers on the board.
