Short legs and keeping balance...

Alright...I'm two for two for riding and dropping my bike. This second time, I was at a gas station waiting for my dad to fill up his beemer boat.   I can balance for the most part on my toes or on one leg at a light or something. But when it comes to lengthy sitting, I just can't do it. I get just a little off balance and there goes the whole damn thing. (No scuffs this time, luckily all the weight went on the pegs and handle bar.)

Will loosening the suspension give me that half an inch I need to get a solid foot on the ground? I'm really tempted to just go get some little thingies for my feet to give me that little, tiny bit of height I need to keep myself balanced. What I really hate is I'm good with jeans on for getting my feet on the ground, but by golly, I put them damn bike pants on and I'm struggling to get enough ground to even back up my bike.

Help!!
I tried to set my hotmail password to pee pee. It said my password wasn't long enough. :(

If you're dropping your bike because your legs are too short, you do need to lower the bike.  You need to redo the rear suspension linkage dogbones, a little movement on the dogbones equals a 3-5 fold height change on the rear end.  And then you can lower the front end a similar amount by sliding up the fork tubes.  Probably only have to lower the rear end by 1 to 1.5 inches?

There's plenty of people in the same situation!

Not me, I've got a 35 inseam
