I just recieved my 00 katana 600 rear shock and installed it on my bike. Made the bike look a little nicer, better turns, personally more comfortable. But when I hit bumps it bounces quite a bit (kinda scary in fast turns), I was wondering how to adjust this if possible, I still don't know much about motorcycle parts. Thanks!

well you've got the standard preload you can set much like the standard gs shock.  use that little spanner dealy to turn it so you can get it where you want it (i think i keep my kat shock at 4).  other than that, you should havea rebound on it.  that will be a small black dial right near the linkage.  you can turn this to 1 being less rebound and 6 being more rebound (correct me if i reversed it).  i can't remember what mine's set at... 3 i think.  just fiddle around with those two things and find a happy medium you like.

My kat600 shock is a bit older, from like 89 or so. The rebound dial only has four settings, I usually keep it at 3, zero complaints.
