Does anyone know why there is not a temp guage, and how does everyone monitor this on long hauls or really hot days.  I realize the bike is air cooled but still I have to wonder?

Kerry

No need to monitor.  As long as the bike's moving (and the oil level is OK) she'll just go and go....

If you get stuck in a traffic jam on a HOT day, turn the engine off while you wait.  If it's REALLY hot out, you may want to turn the front wheel, too... if you're worried about the back of the fender wrinkling from the heat.

Just as I thought!  I was exactly worried about the traffic heat. It gets pretty hot and humid around here.  I will be living in a pretty busy city during the summer so just want to be safe. Thanks alot kerry, you damn near know it all.
thanks,
adam
