Tank Bras and stickers

I just bought a 93 gs500 last weekend. It's my first bike but I haven't taken my MSF class yet, so I haven't done much riding. I have been trying to find a tank bra for it, but I have not been having any luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to look?

Also, I love the bike but I'm not too crazy the pink accents on the red bike. Has anyone every tried to remove the decals? I'd like to replace them with stickers that don't have the accents, but I'm worried about taking paint off. Does anyone know of a place that sells decals like that, without the accents?

Kerry has a tank Bra, picture on his site, I am sure he will come up with the info. As for decals and stickers, if someone has just put a sticker on they can often be removed by stealing your girlfreind's hair drier and warming them for a period of time to soften the glue and then with luck they come off without too much trouble and damage. The factory decals are more troublesome as they normally have a clear top coat or laquer over them, you are getting into the realms of paint removers and a new paint job. I am sure someone will have done it though, watch this space mate.

You cant remove those pink stickers because they are clearcoated over, well I guess you could get them off if looks dont matter to you. I would suggest getting a different sticker or something to put over them or have your bike repainted as I did, I also had a 93 GS with pink stickers, I repainted blue.

I bought my Targa tank bra back in 2000 or 2001.  As far as I can tell, they are out of production.  About a year ago I  found a listing for the same tank bra on Targa's own web site, but I'm not sure if anybody was successful in ordering one.  (See the old message thread tank bra for 1993 GS?.)

I just tried to do another search for the same item, using the info from the old message thread, but I came up empty.  I could have goofed up the search, I guess - try various searches and see what you can find.
