Kerry!  Thank you for sending me that choke cable!

I just got back in from riding my GS all around town most of the day, and after I was able to get it warmed up on thursday and get my idle speed set back to normal it's been running like a top.

I think today my bike finally got over its "hibernation sickness" from being stoed this winter.   I'm looking forward to many more sunny days on my bike.

I had a V&H Header and can installed along with an K&N Air filter and carb rejet just before last winter so I couldn't ride it much before I had to store it,  I can tell you there is a *HUGE* difference when I twist the throttle.

If you have the means.... I highly recommend it.  Word of warning tho.... the V&H kit makes the GS *LOUD*...   not in a bad way, but it is noticably louder than stock.

JakeD-getting your nipple pierced is not crazy. Killing a drifter to get an errection? Now that's crazy!

That pic makes the bike look all nice and pretty, and the shadows hide the nice wrinkle in my front fender curtesy of the V&H Exhaust.

Other than the wrinkle the bike is near mint. ;-)

I was trying to burn the last of the gas out of the tank before winter.  Oops!

The wrinkle is Hardly noticable tho....

I must agree...after a V+H full system and a rejet the difference is like night and day.   :thumb:    :thumb:

i did exactly the same to my bike except i got targa fairing... wind is too much for me after 55mph

I mostly ride in city,  50MPH  or less.
I've seen pics of the GS500F, and I'm very tempted.  I think the GS leads itself well to full fairings, but I like mine how it is.

I may trim the rear plate bracket, along with moving my reflectors up a bit.
Since I'm a big guy I'm looking into a rear shock.  I'll prolly start a new thread for suggestions on that soon.

I'm not a big fan of riding on the interstate.
I'm too big a fan of cruise control and the ability to have my wife drive for a while so I can nap.  Kinda hard to nap on a bike. ;-)
