looks like a gs500 frame.  has anyone tried to fit the bodywork to a gs?  anyone know where to get the bodywork even?

I wonder if that rear part/seat will fit the standard gs :?

btw the frame is not entirely like the gs, its a little higher (more room between the thick side tube and the thinner lower part. ) but it certainly lacks the good paint finish like the gs, i've seen i show model and was shoked to find that there was already little spots of rust on a model that never did one mile

yeah, i want the tail, seat and tank off of that sucker.  my guess is that it would almost nearly bolt right up.  apparently they are sold under the name alphasports in the US.  http://www.alphasportsmotors.com/

and we've all see the hyosun comet 650 which looks like it's an sv650 frame.  i bet they are picking parts from suzuki and i bet that the frame is more or less identical.

Almost is not quite.

Even if they are similar, even slightly off can make getting it on (and secure) a serious PITA.

Not worth it IMO.

OK the 600 comet frame is not aluminum ... which the SV is, the 250 is rather poorly finished like Jiggersplat said, ok I didn't see rust but looked bad and cheesy for sure. For the $$$ a GS is a better buy, and 75 degree twin is just stupid, twice the parts that fail and none of the weight savings in casting or any other advantage like primary balance, and dont we want parallel twin anyway.
Cool.

we had this very same discusion over at GS500E.CO.UK and apparently the frame is supposed to be an original.  So it may look like the GS fram, but shares nothing with it.  So it is unlikely you could fit comet parts to a gs.

Is it just me or does that bike have inverted fork?
Oh and it's supporting a 150 rear tire.  I guess the rust and finish is an issue but damn, the tire and fork deal is sweet

wonder about spare parts though... :dunno:
