OK last night these 2 bikers are riding down Graham street at ~7pm. The only problem is Graham in Charlotte connects D/T to 2 of the major freeways. Most people run WFO through it, and its traffic lights keep anyone form making too rapid a progress, but its like stop light grand prix on it.
These 2 are holding up traffic, so slow, like 20 mph... so most people start pulling into the left lane to pass them and I see a lot of hair behind the helmet, and realize these 2 are women, and worse still they cant ride, and the SV girl was a better rider and evidently was teaching the CBR girl. OK who ever said a CBR is beginer bike, and who ever said the street is the place to learn to drive, and who ever said you can teach with a bike following the student. Anyway the SV girl almost rammed into the back of the CBR girl when she stalled, and dropped it. I stop on the sidewalk and go up and pick up the SV and see if they will make it home and they are now acting all like "we dont need no man's help", anyway I get the 2 off the road and on the sidewalk and get them both to stand and stretch and the SV girl has some ankle pain from the drop, and I get them both to turn around and head home. Cos that road after 7 starts to fill with clubbing traffic and it only gets faster and worse from there. I also tell them to practise in a parking lot, and tell them about Excel motorcycles having a rider course for beginers. And she says no we aint no beginer... OK how about not holding up traffic then I think and leave.
Cool.

arn't those girls sacred of riding (well, i wouldn't call that riding what they did) in traffic....because when i first started riding, i didn't have any problems starting, stoping, turning or anything like that but i was scared of riding with other cars on the road for 1 because i didn't trust myself and for 2 i know car drivers in my city can't even see a pickup truck in traffic  :(  so i didn't want to risk it....

i just came back from a short ride, i was riding in the left lane on a 2 lane road (2 lanes in each direction) and when i tryed to switch to the right lane i saw a VW golf 2 meters from my rear wheel  :o , then i thought she wanted to pass me in the right lane so i stayed in the left lane for another minute then got mad and put on my right turn signal and started to switch lanes....quess what, she turned in the right lane and almost killed me while she was passing....

sometimes i think woman are worse then monkeys  behind the wheel of a car

They sassed you but i bet at least one of 'em looks into the course. At least you tried to talk some sense into 'em.

Was the SV gal transmiiting the riding advice to the CBR gal over their cell phones?

It's mostly the image thing in the choice of biginner bikes for many of them, but don't bet your pink slip on it.  There's a couple young chicks around here that can really ride sportbikes.   :thumb:

Bill Clinton had "Dykes on Bikes" in his inaugural parade in '93; perhaps they were practicing for John Kerry's in '05?  If they smarted off at me after I picked up their bikes, I'd have been tempted to lay it back on the ground like I found them, walk away, and wish them a good evening...

I also had an ordeal with a woman driver the other day. Ok so Im heading to school on my GS and approach an intersection with 3 stop signs, Im on the road with no stop sign so everyone is suppose to yield to me, I plan on making a left turn so I flip my blinker on to go left and a car pulls up to the stop sign on the street I plan to turn to. I keep preceding with my blinker on cautiously watching the car when the dumb b*@#& pulls out and starts going along like she owns the fricken road, I slam on the breaks and she looks over at me like what the hell are you doin, I then proceed to tell her she is number 1.  :nana: People like that make me want to freak out when I drive.

My favorite PO'd woman driver took place a few years ago, while I was active in a local bicycle club.  A group of us had started out from a parking lot at the top of a long hill.  We rode down the two lane, and stopped at the light at the crossroads at the bottom of the hill.  While we were waiting at the light, a Jeep Cherokee gave a love tap in the rear to the car in front who was stopped in the informal right turn waiting area.   She got out cussing up a storm and blamed her inability to judge distance or drive at a prudent speed on us *&^$@( bicyclists.  We all looked at each other and laughed.  My response to her rant was to yell the question if she kissed her mother with that filthy mouth, which really got her going.  We got the light, waved goodbye and rode into the sunset.

Don't sweat it Srinath...kudos for offering help and advice.  One way or another they will learn something like it or not.  Seems to me they're gonna learn it the hard way.  :nono:

hehehe...i am loving this.  along with the earlier story about the girl kicking in the car door because she got cut off, i am now totally convinved that it's not just men that suffer from the napoleon syndrome.

welcome to the era of gender equality: women can have little d**ks too!
They couldn't keep Death out, but while she was in she had to act like a lady.

Why does it matter that they were women? Their actions would be just as annoying if they were guys.

I really feel sorry for them, that they feel the need to act tough and ignore good advice because otherwise they'll be seen as girly girls who are scared to ride. Plus, everyone expects that riding is so easy and will come naturally and makes a girl look stupid for saying no to coming to bike night in favor of more loops around the parking lot. It's a double bind... I'm not saying that they made the right choice, but none of their options are really appealing.

bignuts45

Well I have bignuts and I am a woman! hahahahahaha
I had to take the rider course when I started there was no way that I would have just gotten on and rode into traffic, that sounds like craziness if you ask me.  But it seems that there are stupid people everywhere.  Were they at least wearing helmets and protective gear? Please tell me they weren't that stupid.

Damn that john kerry for president! I say we vote our Kerry for President!!   i love that guy, anyways, watch what you say about blondes my lady is a blonde and she is learning to ride the gs!!

Damn i thought there would be some pics too. hehe. Someone go find us some hot chicks on bikes. hehe :thumb:

Kerry

I knew it was just a matter of time before the Kerry / Kerry connection came up.   ;)   I know very little about John Kerry's platform (or Bush's for that matter) but I hope J. Kerry doesn't get elected just so the President Kerry jokes will get nipped in the bud.  Is that just a tad bit selfish of me?

Amen to that.  Srinath tried to be nice and helpful, but you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.  The gender thing just confuses the issue, but this is really just foolish pride, which may only be cured by a couple more drops and bruises (hopefully nothing worse.)

men can be just as crappy/stupid on the road as women, thank you.  i'll just leave it at that...
