do you think those alpinestar air flo pants would be better/just as good as these teknic supervent pants ( http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...113&division=1# ) for the purpose to wear over shorts or other pants?

I cant tell about the teknic's zippers and such tho, as the alpinestar pants have several to be accessible--comin all the way up to the knee or whatever

I have a teknic jacket that would zip up to the pants, but if it'd be a pain, i wouldnt bother with it, and just roll w/ the alpinestars

what do you guys think?

The Alpinestars are at least 600 denier, but have no armor as the Teknic does. And the Teknic doesn't state what denier its pants are and that I would be very, very leery of. The Teknic pants are $119. I didn't look to see what the Alpinestars cost, but in my opinion, I'd get the Alpinestars. Depends on how much they cost.

Now, just for comparison, I bought a pair of Fieldsheer Carbolex overpants for $50 that are 500 denier, no armor. Just pull over my pants (or, soon to be shorts, with the weather). If you want armor, I would suggest either First Gear or TourMaster overpants, but I don't have any real experience with these.
