Don't think I'll be able to wring the GS's neck for a few weeks :( This weekend coming is packed, got a bday friday night, mates bbq saturday night, then if I'm upto it (highly doubt it) I'll tag along with the slower paced Honda riders club ride out west. HRCA ride is a big stretch to get to so hopefully it's dry the weekend after that, if it's not, another mates getting hitched the weekend after that. Gah!

Hi Guys,

did anybody else see the news on T.V the other night ( Sun)  they run a story on the Tolls protest , they said there was about 350 + bikes that had taken part. man that big.

And on a VERY Sad time  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  I don't know if any of you know that a GREAT Legend has pass away for these who knew him his name is Cash  & he ride's up front with his owner ( yes he a dog) I don't see him as a dog but  a Legend , I remeber before I got into bikes my good friend who rides told me about this guy who rides with his mate sitting on  the tank.

Lukewarm,

Remeber our last ride to the Rob pie shop we just sat down to eat when this guy & his girlfriend was leaveing , I could not belive my eyes . here was this dog sitting on this bike and what happen next was GREAT, Tex pop the front wheel off the ground as they left man how cool was that.

Here is a word from Tex

Hi All,
I have just returned from a ride up through Walcha, Oxley Hwy,
Armidale, Dorrigo etc, a bikers dream. But not this weekend. The weather was
atrocious, that was bad enough, my mate fell off going thru a roundabout in
Walcha at 20kph, broken ribs and a punctured lung!! That was the final straw, I
pulled the pin and headed back to Coffs Harbour to stay at a good friends place
then headed for home this morning. Cash and I were heading to Hornsby to meet
25 other like minded soles for what should have been a blast of a ride weekend.
At around 0600 on Friday morning in company with 2 other bikes I turned left off
the M4 into James Ruse drive, Cash was barking, just to let me know that he
wasn't happy with the rain!, I turned around to see if Scotty (my mate) was
still behind me (mirrors on a RSVRFactory only show ur forearms!!) in a blink of
an eye, Cash had lost his footing and fell off, his lead was hooked up to a
plastic clip designed to break in this situation so he
doesn't get dragged by the bike. Traffic was exceptionally heavy, I knew in my
mind that Cash would not make it. I rode straight up on to the island and ran
back looking for my best mate, Cash had made it to the island but obviously in a
confused state had ran onto the other side of the road only to be fatally
injured by an oncoming car. I picked up Cash and carried his little broken
body back to his bike, layed him on the tank and took him for his last ride back
to home. We buried him in the backyard, believe me, I come from the school of
hard knocks, but this was the hardest and saddest thing I have ever done.
My little mate had travelled over 250,000klms on various bikes with me(think
about that?) we knew each other well, we had done countless wheelies, ridden
hundreds of mountain roads, raised tens of thousands of dollars for various
charities, put smiles on a million faces, given hope to hundreds of sick kiddies
through visits to many childrens wards, Cash held the doggy lap record at
Eastern Creek, Oran Park and Phillip Island, he was officially the fastest
Motorcycle riding dog in the world. 11 seconds @ 125mph at bikefest 2004 WSID.
Clocked in excess of 250kmh at Oran Park, Kids race day 2004.
Why did I still go on the ride over the weekend, because I know that is what
Cash would have wanted me to do!.
I could go on, but I am too sad and I think u get the picture that Cash was not
a dog, but a member of my family and my best mate!. To have met Cash, was to
put a smile on your dial, to know Cash, was to love him!!.
Ride on little mate. Gone but definetly not forgotten.
Janelle and I would like to thank everyone for their sincerest condolences.
Thank U.
Tex.

nice pic almost hard to remeber seeing the weir underwater :o
how did the jetting go do you know what sizes were used and did it make a difference.
I was thinking nice day for a ride but had to go to work :(
Are you heading through the nasho this weekend? :thumb:
Experience enables you to recognise a mistake when you make it again

brembo

While I was down at Audle, lots of cars, 4wd's and a couple of bikes decided to cross the weir, wasn't too deep for the bikes as they went across the footpath instead of the road lanes. Good effort by the guy on the MV Agusta F4 for giving it a go too, got a pic of that somewhere.

Jetting still hasn't been done yet  :x Mech got swamped with bikes when everyone decided to get their bikes serviced while it was raining. It's getting done at 8am tomorrow  :thumb: Still running 125 main jets instead of the 118  it needs so you hit 6k rpm and the bike just bogs down. I need to get some more space and some tools and learn to do this kinda stuff myself, didn't look too hard.

I might go through the park Sunday if I'm not dead, got a busy weekend, lots happening.

EDIT: Let it be known, I did NOT put that ohlins sticker on the front guard, the last guy who owned it did.

For any of you lot who own any Kryptonite locks with the round barrel style keys;

QuoteDear Kryptonite Customers,

Thank you very much for your patience over the last few months as
Kryptonite worked to re-engineer and manufacture replacement locks for the
tubular cylinder lock exchange programme. So far, Kryptonite has shipped
more than 300,000 replacement locks to countries around the globe,
including Australia and New Zealand. As you might imagine, this has been an
enormous undertaking.

While tubular cylinders have been used in many other brands of locks, we
are most proud to let you know Kryptonite is the ONLY lock company
conducting such an extensive exchange programme. We remain committed to
provide to you, our customers (our most valuable asset), a product which is
not only market
leading, but also of the highest reliability and quality.

We are pleased to let you know that we are ready to begin delivering
replacement locks to those of you who registered for the replacement
programme on the Kryptonite website.

On Saturday, 9th of July, 2005, we will have 13 staffed exchange locations
across Australia. Please come to one of these locations, between the hours
of 10.00am and 3.00pm, to receive either a complete replacement lock or a
replacement crossbar, with new non-tubular cylinder, depending on the type
of lock you registered for replacement.

If you are not able to get to one of these sites on the July 9th, please
send a message to kryptonite@cassons.com.au, to the attention of Nicholas
Peddar. He will make arrangements to send your replacement item to your
local motorcycle or bicycle store, for your exchange.

To receive your replacement, you must turn in your old lock and keys.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to give you your replacement item
without these.

If you are exchanging a bicycle lock that was sold with a carrying bracket,
please keep all parts of your bracket system, including any pieces attached
to the lock, so that you can use it with your new lock.

The exchange locations and the Kryptonite programme representative for that
area are listed below:

Anyone up for a ride in a few weeks if the weather is good? Have to be a Sunday though, meet sometime around 10am and go from there. Destination wise? Up the Old Pac Hwy for a few laps? Or down the coast to Mac pass etc?

Need to get a decent ride under my belt, all this rain of late and bike fixing/servicing etc. (and a new chain soon too :guns: ) To top it off a mate smashed his bike last Sunday :( Hit a dog at 90kph.

I just need to ride :x

Jettings still not quite right, almost though, and runs well enough that I give up! No more! Got pink slip, green slip and rego for the bike today, just need to get the insurance going and I'm all set for another year :S

Old Road it is, hardly venture up that way cause it takes an hour and a half just to get to berowra :o but I'm sure I can plug away and make an effort :)

Hi Matt
Steves muffler is a staintune and meets all the regs nice sound at idle and good sound under acceleration very quite at constent throttle but he has taken the baffle out so its usally quieter but without it its not to loud cost by memory was between $600-$650.
I've got the accomidation booked for the snowy ride but haven't sent the rego fee yet we are back in threadbo and see The Angles are playing Saturday night should be a good one, also were you riding last weekend around Macquarie Pass had someone coming the otherway in riding gear like yours but didn't notice what type of bike it was so just wondering we ended up at Robertson pub after coming the back way through Campbelltown talk about bloody cold and bloody bumpy but the new suspension showed its worth and worked really well.
Hey Brembo hows it all going is the bike running any better? we will have to have that ride up the old road yet, you to Matt :thumb:
