The bike show was great ,one of the best parts was the freestyle show ,and watching the 4 -8 year olds riding around on the 50s ,crashing into the walls and their parents ,but getting up with smiles on the faces, it was like watching funny home videos live

But a special mention goes to the promo girls
Happy dreams for me for the next few weeks.

Thanks Matt got the message and have sent one back :thumb:
Sleddog your pretty close to me I'm at Bankstown so not to far from guilford.
When you feel up to it we'll go for a ride somewhere probably the national park or the old road, good roads to practice on once youve mastered both most other roads will be easy then time to tackle Macquarie pass matt can tell you what that is like,Tricky but fun are you still on L's or P's? :thumb:

Cool I know sometimes things happen. I'm going on tues now & I ask who else was staying, my dad friend said there was only three of us , so cool we have the place to ourself

Yep Macquarie pass is a little Tricky but it's also Fun. you just go at your own pace . We did a run up there last sun avr to the pie shop & from here 4 of us did the Kangaroo valley wich was little slippery ride down into the valley & up the other side too but it was fine at the pub in the Valley

Yeah still on my L's , i have only done just 200km on my bike ,just to busy at work this time of year to ride  ,it's either dark when i get home or looking like raining.
I will get my open licence in january ,as im over 30 ect ,then vroom vroom , i might go over 100kph.

I did do a few laps of henry lawson drive the other day as i know it well ,and enjoyed the cruise along the river ,im looking forward to seeing the kanagroo valley ride ,and seeing this old road and road warriors ,but i don't drink coffee .
;)
Give me a few more weeks ,i still got to work on the blipping ,and havn't tryed the quick breaking on this bike as its all shinny and new ,don't want to scratch it.

Then i will go any where any time ,all i need is 24hr notice and i can take anyday off .

Cheers and beers

That's one good thing about living out in the outter 'burbs, when I started out I just did laps of the back streets around my place. One afternoon I lost track of time and ended up doing 150-200km worth of back streets, all that and I didn't go further than 1.5km from home  :o

Hi Guys,

I'm home from the snowyride, What a week I'm still a little sleepy  . I left on Tues mor around 7.00am & I took the coast road down to Batemans Bay ( stop for Macc's mmm  ) & from here I headed for the Clyde ( What a Ride I had GREAT Weather all the way to Jindy) , bungendore to Queanbeyan for a stop & Fuel from here stright to Cooma for another Fuel stop & last stop East Jindy in all it was a 6 & half hours trip.

Wed: was going to be a rest day , but the day was too good to stay in so I head out for a Good ride. I start at jindy to Dalgety ( it's a nice ride ) from here I took the road that you can go to Bombala , on this road this you can also go to Cooma wich I took it's got some very good areas for everyone, I fuel at Cooma. I then really want to check out old Adminaby , so I took the Snowy highway ( this was the first time I seen a boy in blue the time since I left on tues. Adminaby is a nice town & it's bike friendy too, from here I went back the way I came and turn right about 30kms from the main highway to jindy this road is a great ride it brings you in the back way to Berridale from to east jindy it's about 300km ride.

Thur: Well I really want to have a rest day but after the great ride I had on Wed I need to buy two new tires  I was hoping to get the snowyride out of the old tires but nope I spent about 3 hours in Canberra .

Fri ok I said to myself I'm having a day off from riding from the afternoon I was on the Highway at East Jindy takeing pics of bikes come down for the ride Man I took over 100 pics. On fri afternoon went back to the lodge were I meet Graham & Ron ( who are members here Welcome Guys:))

Sat Ride day: I had a look out side to see what the day was going be , it's looking to be a great day for this Great ride, we headed off to Jindy for our first check point from here we set of Dalgety seconed check point for the day a ride to Berridale for our finaly check point . from here we went the back way to Adminaby for ride Which was great ride. We went back to the lodge for a rest before heading up to Thredbo, on the way to Thredbo it started to rain for the first for time on the ride anyway we put card in & made our way back down the weather was getting a little worse.
sun: Home time yep after a great week on the bike it was time come home we had rain most of the way home & it was cold  it took bout 6 hours main because of the waether.

This was the best snowyride I have been & it's was great to meet lots of fellow rides  I have pics to post soon . Well all I need is a good weather so I can clean my baby  in all it was a 2000km ride
Lukewarm, Sorry we could meet up at Thredbo the weather was not so good  :x  but we will have to meet soon

all the best matt:) your friend

well just got back to the computer today.
Snowy run was great except for the weather bloody rain but besides that it was a great weekend no worries about threadbo matt Id say a lot ofd people ditched coming up as there seemed to be a lot less people up there for the draw then last year and that run from threadbo to khancoban is a little hairy right at the beginning in the rain but good from there on in but quite a few cops so I think I leave out that section next year we got to tathra on monday thanks for the advise dingo we tried Mt Darragh (although as i didnt know where i was going i didnt know until we did it ) I just thought what a great mountain run then steve said that was a good way to go thanks for the recommendation
But all in all a great weekend can't wait till next year :thumb:

sounds like pretty good advice. I was planning on easing my way into the day.
1st session feel my way around the track.
2nd session finding braking markers.
3rd session on really start giving it some.
I was thinking of taking my camel water pack along. don't know if they would let you use it while out on the track though ? :dunno:

Hi, guys and gals. I haven't had much time to keep up with things here lately, but I was down in Canberra around the time of the Snowy ride, so I know what you mean about the crappy weather! The purpose of my trip was to check out a bike I found on eBay... and the good news is that yesterday, after a very windy trip to Canberra, I picked up my new (to me) 2003 Suzuki SV1000S, in nice shiny silver :)

This thing is in awesome condition, but it's also insanely powerful, and I think it's going to be a daily struggle to keep my license. Does anyone really need this much power?

Anyway, after the long ride home, I've got sore legs and a sore throttle wrist... but I'm sure I'll get used to it ;)

The bad news is that now I have to sell my trusty, blue 2002 Suzuki GS500, with just over 19,000 km. So, if you know anyone who wants to get into riding, please feel free to let me know! It'll be going up in the For Sale forum pretty soon...

Cheers for now,
a very happy Paul.

Thanks, Matt. I'm not sure yet about the ride on the 18th.

My bike is now officially for sale, so if you know anyone who wants to get into riding, please refer them to this thread...

Took a stroll down to check out the new "Seacliffe Bridge" and I must say, I'm impressed. Rode over and back and the view is great, the open sea on one side, and the cliff face on the other. I'll have to take my camera down next time and take a few snapshots while walking it.

The amount of people at Bald Hill was like an overcrowded weekend! The carpark was full and there was a line for the ice cream van, something I've never seen on a weekday.

The bridge makes a hell of a difference getting to the Illawarra, and I'll definitely be checking out some of the coal coast's beaches this summer.
