Hi Muldoon,
Yep ride was perfect, how did the Marathon go?
Cornering wise will probably take you about 3 months before you feel confident but a major trick to this is getting suspension correct or as close as you can when I first started with my CBX250 the front end was pretty stuffed leaking & sticking rebuilt the forks and had them rechromed and new front tyre and within 2 weeks was finding the edge of the tyre, then got the GS thinking I'll master this thing within 2 weeks, 2 months later scratching head wondering why I was slower on GS then the CBX adjusted the rear when I realised the front was not talking to me and within 2 weeks was back to where I thought I should be.
Also when cornering look through the corner as far as u can and you will start to feel yourself go over further, as you do dont spook yourself and straighten the bike just go with it.
Next weekend we'll talk more, the Old Road is good for teaching cornering because you go up there and if you go anywhere below 80 kmh you dont need to use your brakes just corner and you get a nice flow happening anyway prob bring my video camera so we can film and talk :thumb:

Hi Lukewarm,

THe marathon was HARD. I was struggling at around the 16km mark, but just slogged on. Im glad it wasnt any longer! I couldnt have run any longer than 21km. We went for steak and beer (important to refuel!) and the lads were talking about doing the FULL marathon! 42km! Morons!

Bought twist of the wrist 2 today so will read and digest before sunday. I think im just being impatient wanting to corner like Bayliss NOW! After reading your post I thought back, and you are dead right about not looking through the corner. Im looking at what Im about to hit.....Anyway Sunday sounds good.

Cheers! :thumb:

Pics from sunday. two Suzukis, same model, same year, same colour

Lukewarm's GS has the screen, mine has the "clip-on" style handle bars.

The pie was good, I'd definately recommend Pie in the sky over road warriors, better food and a view, with just as many bikes (more if you include the one without engines)

Cool, at least you guys don't have black ones, I think I'd be too embarressed  to go on a ride with 3 other identical bikes

I haven't seen a green GS around, but I have seen a blue/silver one going over the Harbour Bridge, and a couple in the city.

Matt, even if you can't make the next ride, on Sunday morning, don't worry, we'll try and organise something down south next.

I don't think we've decided on a start time for this Sunday yet, how about we wait and see if Matt can make it first?

Lukewarm had better bring his camera mount, or we're detouring back to his place first  ;)
Don't Panic.

Im easy when it comes to start time. Im coming from Mosman so it should only take about 1/2 hour to get to hornsby???
Matt, I reckon a ride down your way would be excellent. Around the cambewarra mountains and an Andy Burger for lunch. Havent had one of those for months!
