Hi lads,

Hope you all had a good weekend. I ended up getting summoned to the parental home and rode over 700km on the weekend. Froze my nuts off on the way down, man it was cold. Took me 5 hours!! Almost got sucked/blown under a truck on the highway too, that got my attention! Anyone up for a ride on the weekend?? Bike is going GREAT now I can finally wring her out   Those extra 6000 revs make all the difference! MAtt, you working on the weekend??

Lukewarm Wilson

Sounds good at the moment :thumb:,  good thing the bike goes in for service tomorrow
matts idea sounds good haven't been down that way for a while now
But now for the bad news its looks like my camera wont take an external lens so no helmet mounted or front of the bike shots :x  :x  :x I'm not happy,  JVC couldn't tell me the manual didn't say but luckly I managed to get to try one that my father had (should have mentioned it to him earlier  ) and no go so there goes that idea :(
So if everyones good I should be able to make it say Saturday :dunno:

And yes I'm off this weekend 19 & 20 .  I thinking 20 is going to be a better day for us ( I have been checking out the Weather & they Sat is going to be Windy & Rain :x & Sunday is going to be Dry. Southwest winds easing).  it's just a thought

Hi everyone!
Matt, it was bloody cold. I dont think I have ever been that cold for that long! I was wearing 4 layers on top and 2 on bottom and had to stop every 30km's to defrost! On the way back I bought a thermal top and that sure helped! But I always knew canberra was a cold s(*t hole and it was soooo nice to be heading north and taking off layers as I went.
Re the weekend, Sunday sounds really good. Not to early as Im having a large one on Sat night!
Lukewarm, how did your service go? Much $$? How are you panik!

Hi Guys!!
Wish i had more time ot join you boys, ive had my bike for several weeks now and only managed to clock up 260 KM's, sad isnt it ? Hopefully now though after 10 weeks of getting real messed up on the weekends i will slow it down to the pace im used to which will leave me with more sobered time to ride my bike and get some experience to join you guys on a cruise, happy riding see you all on the road soon. Cor.

Hey Guys,
Ok Sunday is good for  me too   I know you guys will proble meet some were in Sydney. I will ride up to Campbell-town to meet you guys at the CALTEX CAMPBELLTOWN 94 QUEEN ST around 10.00am ? what do you think . it will take me about 2.30hr to ride to Campell-town

Lukewarm, When I first got her I went out every weekend (Sat & Sun) for a full day of ridings, which was cool because my first bike was a XR400R not the best bike to ride on the road . + I want to get lots of Exp before my P's test.

c0r, You are more then Welcome to join us this weekend

Hi everbody :)
Sunday still sounds good I can meet at Campbelltown no probs :thumb: 10am sounds good.
The bloody service was $305  :x for a bloody oil and filter change though they did balance the carbs and adjusted the Tappets but still Bens BMW was cheaper to service by about $85 (no carbs to adjust)so cant wait till warranty runs out so I can do it and save about $250, so to all the bike shops I say  :nana:  :nana:  to you and your service teams, although I will admit they did do a good job.
Hi cOr good to hear from you you are most welcome to join us when you can :thumb:

So Lukewarm, can I take it you werent impressed? Where did you take it to? I had first service for $205 at Sydney City Motorcycles in Lane Cove.
Anyway, see y'all on Sunday if I can find the servo....
c0r, welcome, look forward to having you along. Your bike isnt black is it??

Oh Yeah! not impressed at all :x
Realistically it was just an oil and filter change and adjustments the carbs took the bloke 5 mins the tappets took maybe half an hour the whole job could have been done in just over an hour without hurrying instead it took 3.5hours with the mechanic bouncing between my bike and another but by the looks of things I pay for all that labour :nono: , parts should have been no more then say $50 at retail oil approx $30, Filter $10, misc $10, so basically $205.00 labour for a job that should take about an hour.
Though i shouldn't really complain as when I was a Mechanic for Mitsubishi the factory gave us say about 6 hours to fit an A/C to a Magna but the workshop wouls spew if we took longer then 1.5 hours but the customer still paid the lot :o
As I said will be so happy when I can do it myself :thumb:
Also see you all sunday I may have an extra or two with me though

great ride yesterday guys although I think my hands a just starting to get feeling back
Bad news though had a look at the footage when we got home and sure enough the camera must of had some problems as I seem to be missing some footage :x  mostly the footage going down into Kangaroo Valley which was really nice so hopefully the camera is alright it seemed to play back alright so fingers crossed it lived, I hoping its all just a battery problem :dunno:
any way all the best till next time I'll be pretty taken up for the next couple of weekends and also that overnighter at Walcha in 2 weeks so hopefully we'll be able to arrange another sometime after that :thumb:
