Seems like its been in the shop for a month or more! Anyways I wont be able to check the board after this arvo so if its raining in the morning, (and I mean pissing down) I wont come. Otherwise, see ya all at Procycles at 11am! :thumb:

Hi Guys,

I thought I would leave it for today just to let you know that  I'm not comming up for the ride because the Weather not looking to good down here  :(  if the Weather report was better I would diff be comming up , I even got up at 6.30am just to check the Weather report & Have look myself but it looks like it going to rain from about 10.00am here and most of the state , I know that they do get it wrong but I don't really want to rain on my way & then have turn around and ride home (3hr rain just would not be fun) .
You guys if you do go have lot's of fun , but just watch  out the cops man   there has been  lots of them between nowra and  Wollongong .

all the best   matt :)  your friend

well not to worry matt it ended up raining on us on the way back but the rid eup was great and the rain wasn't to bad but could of done with out it.
Everyone do yourself a real favour and change your tyres to the BT45's
even if your exadra or what ever they are arent worn just change them it will change the bike I can't believe the difference I knew the standard tyres were crap but not like that :o  :x the bike just holds its line soooo well I could waffle on all night how good they are i even feel like going out now and giving them a graet big   .
Oh BTW way Muldoon you missed steve spinning up the rear of the Bandit typical steve because I hasselled him about being a hoon so he wouldn't do it while strangers were looking (what type of hoon is he  ).
Anyway apart from the rain the weather is geting nicer so more rides I think :thumb:

LW RODE IN THE RAIN!!! Yeehah! Sorry to miss Steve bagging it up, I had a drag with him before you guys shot off onto the freeay and kicked his butt! GS Power!!
At the moment I wouldnt know a good tyre from a bad one! Im still trying to feel comfortable cornering, waaaayyy too tense. More trips up the old road me thinks.
Im just pissed that I washed and polished my beloved and now she is covered in gray road grime crap... Thems the breaks I guess.
Anyway good to meet wiht steve and catch up wiith you and Panik. Tell Goeff not to be a kitty cat and ride in the rain and Benny to get his bike fixed. Whats the hold up??
CHeers!

Matt, the reason why the try and take us on is many and varied.
1) They have no concept of power to weight ratios. They dont understand that my 220kgs and 50hp will beat their 1500kg and 200hp. THey arent real smart.
2) THey cant drive. Seriously crap reaction times. Most times Im down the road before theyve put their phone down.
3) They are have never ridden a motorcycle therefore thay have no conecpt of speed.
4) They cant hear when their car hits peak revs cause their stereo is too loud.
5) They get confused between the acceleration of the car and the vibration of the 100watt megaturbosuperesonsebassboombox they had fitted instead of their rear seat.
and finally.
6) Throw a corner at them and just wait for the brake lights. Funny as hell watching them barrel into a corner and you scoot under them!
But the best fun of it is to blast past them with you r L plate flapping in the wind! HAH HA HA!!!

Stuart782

Sorry to hear about the accident. The bike looks "trashed" (you can probably guess what word I wanted to use their).

I had a stack on my GS500 also. Ended up skating on my back at 80ks with my foot trapped between the tank and handlebar. Not too nice experience. Incredibly I walked away and the bike was fine except for a snapped blinker stem and small scratching on the gear case. Bike is completely operational and I am fine (sore but fine). Took me a bit of  time to get back on the horse, but went for a little ride lastnight and had my first ride where I actually fully enjoyed and felt safe again.

I have locked in the 14/09 for a ride with you guys.

My email address is stuart782@hotmail.com in case you guys need to get me quicker as I don't drop by very often. Please feel free to contact me in relation to rides.

I went for my P's around 8 months ago and was able to go straight onto my Blacks......... due to my age......... getting the feeling I could be the old man of the chat room.

Talk soon and maybe see you on the ride.

    Hi all,
Guess I missed the email alerts :dunno:
Stuart sorry to hear about the the crash glad to hear you ok :thumb:  and the bike is good, I may have to point that out to ben GS's are stronger then BMW's (Ben is a mate of mine)
Muldoon 14/9 locked in "Practice Hard" your U turns and emergency braking and the rest is a pinch of piss no problems I got prefect score on the CBX 250 and that was with the bike wanting to stall when you turned the bars (Throttlecable was binding), and I kept stopping before the braking markers started for the emergency stop which annoyed the tester because I kept crossing the start line at the right speed  trick is to go the lowest speed they ask not the fastest as everyone else in my  group tried and most only just scraped through and they know most will just rush at it, turn up 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour early ride aroud the area a little bit and practice U turns and stops and you wont be nervious when its time to start the test a lot turned up bang on time and looked like they were going to wet themselves but as I stuffed up the time by 1/2 an hour I got to practice so :nana: to them
Hi kerry hows those Labbys of yours going can only guess they are much bigger and more destructive and do they have dangerous tails .
Anyway catch you all next time :thumb:

Just a little Good Luck for tomorrow message for Muldoon hope it all goes well for you tomorrow and hope you have been practising, let us all know how it goes.  8)
Good news Ben finally got the BM back but of course they F**k*d up and missed some things, so though he has got it back its not finished it seems the fork leg hit the telelever and dented it, how they missed it I dont know but now he has to wait for the part and make sure the insurance will still cover it, but it shouldnt be a problem, but they are usless and I would suggest no one do business with Tom Byrne Motorcycles although we don't ride BMW maybe sometime in the future one of us will (Wont be me  ) so dont go to Tom Byrne.
Anyway hope everyone is well and see you next time :thumb:

Oh Yeah and Good Luck again Muldoon I sure you will do well :thumb:

    Hi Lads,
Well I did the test yesterday and I aced it! Yeeehah! Not one point on the most, I led the pack through the most difficult section of the road ride and my beloved GS was not only the prettiest bike there but through her unique combination of easy handling and slow speed stability got me through without a worry. And I was the only there who had bout my own bike! Everyone else hired CB250's. But thanks for the words or advice, it really wasnt as bad as I was thinking! Alot of it was due to an excelllent instructor at HART St Ives, she was excellent.

    Cheers,
    Duncan

    Lukewarm Wilson

Good work Muldoon I knew you get through no problems  :thumb:  8) do you have to display the P plate or do you go straight to your black license?
Yeah I have to admitt that the HART instructors are excellent, good advice and dont treat you like an idoit if you do wrong.
Matt see you down there on the snowy run thankfuly Ben booked our rooms about a month ago so we are right to go we've got five going along myself GS500, Ben and Geoff BMW 1150R, Steve Bandit 1200 and Mick on an FZ1. What is the name of the place you are staying?
Once again Congrats Muldoon well done   :thumb:

Well I just visited the RTA and due to the fact I havent been in NSW for 5 years I am stuck on the red p for 12 months. Sigh. Oh well, I didnt ever do 80 on my L's so I guess 90 wont stop me! Yeeehaw!!!! And its not that I want to get rid of my baby either.
    Cheers,
    Duncan.
