Anyone have a recommendation for what kind of lock works well for helmets on a GS?  :dunno:

I'm so tired of hauling my helmet inside with me, but I'm paranoid enough that I think its going to get lifted.

I have a full face helmet if that makes any difference.

thanks!  :P

There are two helmet locks under the seat, on each side. Just remove the seat and slide the helmets D-ring over that bent peice of metal and replace the seat. I don't rercomend riding with a helmet attached if you value your paint job.

Yea, I have to come around more. Or I will soon lose my 3rd place post whore, status. New job is keeping me very busy.

IT's a tight fit for some helmets so try to not to force it.  I myself carry mine.  The helmet was to expensive to leave outside waiting for some @$$hole to use it as a ashtray or my luck, the bike tip over right on the helmet and I'm out 300 bucks.

Now I feel stupid. :)

But seriously, I don't have my seat off all that often.  I keep my necessary papers and thats about the only time I take the seat off, to update insurance cards or something.

   thanks.

Don't feel bad. You are not the first, to not notice them. They are not the most obvious things.

I always carried my helmet with me.  I have friends that came out of a store only to find their helmets with Coke cans in them or worse, straps cut and the helmets gone. :x
