Briggs,
That is truly a labor of love. great looking bike. very nice work. Clear taillight and turn signals would complete the monochromatic look very nicely too...But great job! :thumb:  :thumb:

Quote from: seshadri_srinathI'd have given you an arm and a leg for the white stuff
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the '89 tank: "Srinath's been looking for one of those for 2-3 years now."

'Course, I remember you weren't wlling to pay the "arm and a leg" that the wrecker in CA was charging.  Maybe they wanted a BIGGER arm and a BIGGER leg than what you're talking about?

OK OK its damn near impossible to get anything past you kerry... ever thought of a career in law enforcement... more like unsolved murder investigation... BUT You did miss one little point... Last year about this time I paid a very reasonable price... dammit it was cheap... for a perfect white tank from Greg G. Yes traded a dented tank for his race bike. Now I have this habit of collecting spares and especially ones that let me be lazy. So I already have a white full body set, but I cannot let that pack rat in me sleep, so Have 1 GS that's blue, have a blue spare tank, and have backup body work in white and want a white everything as spare...
Eventually my bike has to be white, the blue is simply for now eye candy... yes I love it, but deep down I know it has to be white. The frame will get black powder coat and so will the wheels and I'll put white on it, but anyway I digress, I aint buying stuff from a wrecker ... for the same price someone here is going to get my money - no contest.
Cool.
Srinath.

Wow what a responce! I want to say thanks for all the praze and suggestions on my bike. I have to say I was truly inspired by alot of you forum regulars. I never would of dreamed of doing the rear rim swap. Esspecilly with out all of the pioneers out there that took the time to document the procedure. (Pablo, Joris) I think my bike is now finally ment for the wall of fame. If anyone has any questions about what I did, feel free to fire away!
