OK so heres whats up.  Bike stopped running well at the end of last season.  Would bog down and stall and i started having problems getting it started.  So just recently i took the carbs apart and cleaned em up, i figured this was the problem, it sat for a little while before i bought it last year.  Put the carbs back in charged the battery up, tried to start it, no go.  Fiddled with the idle screw for a while, every once in a while it will backfire really loud.  Once or twice i got it to start, and revved really weakly, could keep it at like 5 grand if i kept the throttle wide open.  So now im back to it not starting at all and im getting pissed.  WHen i try to start it trys to turn but just wont.  I dont think its the battery cause the lights and horn works, and it read over a 12v charge.  Any advice???

thanks luke

see if you have good fuel flow, close the tank petcock and remove a hose clamp and aim the other end in to a container, open the petcock back out again,  should come out in a happy steady stream,

is the tank petcock in the right position "vertical"

try i running with it on prime, any difference?

check your air filter, anything made a nest in there?

do  a quick sans filter start, any better?

plugs?  cables not on the plug all the way, is there a short?

check carb  float level?

just somestuff i'd check out in your case

i'm sure there are more ideas!

Choke? Does the choke work?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
