I picked her up yesterday, with only 1km on the clock. Had a pretty tense ride across the city to work let me tell you! But I took some time off and did a hundred km around the city and had a ball! What a great way to travel, dont know why it took me so long! Did all the newbie stalls at the traffic lights, a few sweaty plams moments, but its all good.
Can only use 5K rpm for another few hundred k's so cant really say how hard she goes, but it seems pretty fast to me! Still really nervous about corners, Im slower then the cars which is a bit embarassing but I guess it all somes with ptactice yes? Bit paranoid about dropping her!
Off to the motorcycle show today to pick up some bits and then a bit more of a ride before sundown. I think a gel set will be my first mod!

Doing the suspension mods that everyone on the board raves about. (they rave about it for a reason)  = )

She goes pretty fast/fast enough. I hit 100MPH on a straight piece of highway that I was familiar with a few times when the road was clear and I could see for a mile down the road.

I guess...I shouldn't be giving this advice, lol, but once she's broken in and you got some open road just work through those gear, the bike sweet spots right around 7-9K RPM then upshift and crack the throttle you won't loft the wheel off the ground so don't worry about that. But that's the RPM's where the bike give you some down and nasty fun.  I kinda miss a little bit all the gear changing already as my new bike does all the city speeds in 2nd gear.  But she's a real fun bike. Congrats and enjoy.

careful with new tires.. they slide.. so dont push it too hard until about 100 or so km of riding.. more in colder weather..
