Has anyone had experience with these? It seems like to good thing, because my wrists are sore after riding. I'm wondering how safe they are though for city riding.

I saw these on ebay the other day, was wondering myself just how useful these could be. I suffer from a sore wrist after riding for a while.

A co-worker of mine has one of those on his Honda Shadow.  He says it is nice for longer rides, and that he does notice some difference. It's nothing amazing, but a little less stress on the arm.  I have never personally tried them.

I have a Throttle Rocker on my bikes and recommend them.  I have one of the old style without the velcro fastener on the throttle.  I find it lessens hand fatigue and allows me to stretch my hand and fingers without removing control of the throttle.

I noticed they now also offer a left side model.  That's handy, but the throttle side is really the only one that needs it.  My right hand gets a little numb from holding the throttle, which always has a little more vibration than the left anyway.  But, at less than $20 for the pair, it's money well spent.

I have the throttle rocker...it's great for long trips...but in city riding...I dont' use it....so i just flip it over so that it doesn't get in the way...

it's a nice little thing to have...and cost only 18 CDN...well worth it IMO...it releases the tension on your right wrist quite a bit...

IMO it's not worth the trouble, especially considering its low cost and benefits.  The Throttle Rocker is a pretty simple yet elegant design.  It locks in the direction which pressure is applied when twisting the throttle, yet gives willingly when turning it the other direction.  This ability to be moved into or out of position is a feature that, at best, would be a PITA for the average guy to fabricate.

Not only does it relieve hand cramps and numbness due to vibration, it also allows easily "palming" the throttle while keeping fingers free to cover the brake.
