Hey,

Would somebody, by any chances, know about an exhaust pipe that would fit a GS500 2001, in a reasonable price range...
I'd like a more noisy exhaust, and that would perhaps give a little more power too.
I used to have a Kawasaki ER500 in France with an Ixil Exhaust and loved the noise it made.
I would appreciate any info you could provide me with!

Thanks !

There are some made by Vance & Hince, and a company called cobra makes a "slip on' type. Yoshimira used to make one for the GS but no longer does. I would check ebay for a used one.

Ixil and Laser make full systems for the GS but you may need to look outside the US to find them.  Leo Vince allegedly has one in the works, and any pipe bender worth his/her salt should be able to makeone for you.  Apparently the stock headers aren't too bad as far as flow goes, so you might consider just replacing the muffler with a less restrictive one.  I also have a 2001 and I have a Magnum Pro Series full system from Formula 1 Motorcycles in Australia.  Not cheap, although the Aussie Dollar (aka the South Pacific peso   ) has such a lousy exchange rate so you may be able to get it cheaper than I could.  :x   Do try to find something though.  You'll be amazed at the difference.  :thumb:
