Excellent Vidoe Kerry! Thanks a million! and it couldn't have come at a better time!

I do have one question though; Kerry mentionned if I don't have a Valve Shim Tool like he did, that there is an alternative way to get the shim bucket pressed to be able to remove the shim... anyone know how to do this?

thanks.

The best way is to get a MotionPro valve shim tool.

Wow, I'm -thoroughly- impressed with how clear and detailed Kerry is in this video. I was about to shell out a couple hundred bucks to have the dealership do my adjustment but after watching the video, I feel confident about doing it myself and besides it's something I wanted to learn how to do anyways but didn't know how to go about starting something like this. I was going to ask the guys at the dealership if I could watch. hehe but I don't think they would have approved of that.

:thumb:     Kerry for the fantastic video!

A supplement to Kerry's video that should definitely be noted: Instead of using the magnet thing to pull the shim out and risk snapping the valve a jillion times, pull the shim out with a pair of tweezers.

Hm..does anyone know if it is possible to download that in a regular video format (like an mpeg or quicktime or something..) instead of having to have the Google video player?  :dunno_white:

EDIT: Ok, nevermind. Fear not, I am a jackass. I found it in Windows Media format at http://www.jackardisana.com/gs500/ thanks to more intensive searching methods  8)

I don't have a GS, but I just watched the video because I thought it was interesting... Does that make me a nerd, or a certifiable gear head?  :icon_mrgreen:

I'm not very mechanically inclined by any means, but I'm always trying to learn. I actually sat here for the whole hour and 20 some odd minutes because it was very interesting. Kerry did such an awesome and thorough job that I couldn't stop watching. :P
