Did anyone else go riding last night?  :o

I checked the weather at work and thought I was in the clear, didn't listen to the news.  Went out about 8:00 pm for a nice ride, watched the pretty blue lights in the sky for a while but kept riding.

Finally got caught in the full fury on a coastal road in Manchester, MA.  Was it my imagination, or were some of those fat drops actually hail?

Rode past a bunch of cagers who had pulled over and couldn't take it   Someone yelled sometihng at me, but I couldn't make it out.

Bike was sure-footed as ever, just a little wiggle when I braked too hard for a turn.  All in all it was a blast, although I wouldn't  have planned it.

was that your first experience in the rain? I just got caught in a rainstorm on Sunday with my Dad, we were doin about 60 and when we got to a stop I asked him if it was hailing...he said thats just how rain feels goin that fast. It hurt like a B&*ch!

No, I've been in the rain before.  I was going about 30-35; the drops were very, very big and it was moderatley cold out.

I think it may have been right on the edge.  Seemed like the drops had some good solidity to them.  Later on the news I saw that there was hail out there in some spots, so I wondered.

I also was confused when the cars pulled over.  Visibility wasn't that bad through my helmet; should have been even better with windshield wipers.

I've ridden in rain tons of times... Last time I rode in rain I crashed and had to ride 100+ miles with a broken shield on my helmet... wearing really small sunglasses and running 60-70mph in the rain is quite painfull and irritating when youre riding 100+ miles on a fugged up bike to get back home  :x
