Finally found the perfect (for me) jacket

This is just about my dream jacket when it comes to riding

No, it doesn't have the protection some offer, but it is leather, and it would be decent for riding and perfect for the rest of my day.

Some of my favorate features:
28 hidden pockets
Hidden Epaulets (for clipping on radios)
Can hold camelpak (and route the hose through the jacket to where I could get to it)

It's perfect for holding all my electronic gadjets, looks good enough for "business casual", and would still provide some protection in case of a crash on the motorcycle (though I'd want to be careful what was in the jacket at the time. ;-))

unforunately, $400 is more than I can afford to spend on a jacket... :-(

Great news! I just saved a bundle on car insurance by switching to a motorcycle!

I got a jacket from Jamin leather, the silver striped perf racer. No, it doesn't have armor, but it is leather. I have a jacket with armor, not a leather one, but I wanted one without because I hate going someplace on my bike and having to walk around for hours with all this armor in my jacket, it's great for riding, but it sucks when you're off the bike.

Sure, i can take the armor out, but then the jacket wears funny.

My jacket gets here tomorrow, so I'll let you know what I think.

O.K., Napa lamb skin, but how thick? 1.2mm?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

there are a few pics available...

don't see anywhere where it specifies the thickness... but it does seem to be a good solid jacket, and relatively thick w/out being armor.  Wearable during the day, but still a far sight better than most jackets (probably including my old).

Just thought I'd show y'all, see what others thought of it.  Maybe I'm just a geek. ;-)

That guy must be the owner, or the marketing exec, graphic designer and art director should all be fired.

28 hidden pockets?! Geez...I know with my poor memory I'd have to search every pocket for a single item if I didn't put it in an outter pocket.

I got my jacket today from jamin leather, and the new helmet i ordered too.

It's really heavy. I have an old leather jacket already, just one from sears, like a fashion jacket or whateve ryou know. I always thought it offered good protection if I needed to ride with it, but WOW, this new jacket is at least three times as heavy and way thicker. comfy though.
