Great idle, but runs like crap...

OK the bike starts easy with choke and idles fine. I try to ride and it runs like crap. No power, once it gets to 2K + its starts to misfire and run like crap. It then wont even get back to idle, it stalls, then starts up just fine and idles, till you give it gas ... OK no vacuum leaks, no rips in diaphragms, no problems at all in the crabs... I just checked that and its clean and fine. I am saying, carbs issues are ruled out... What else... bike doesn't smoke or smell of antifreeze... oh yea its my eli, not the gs. Not checked plugs, and in fact not checked anything else... valves are the next stop, plugs are before that, but I doubt any of that can be bad. But any other ideas guys...

i had the same problem turned out to be the stator...

once it warms up it just bogs right?

Not exactly warm.... try to drive off and it dies. I'll try idling it to the point it gets hot and try it.

Either air filter or a leaf or something getting sucked over the airbox mouth. Happened to me on the SRX, my registration papers were in a plastic sandwich bag that with enough rpm's creating enough vacuum, sucked the baggie over the snorkle to the airbox. Lower rpm's - not enough vacuum to keep the baggie over the mouth.

Ok you are forgetting its srinath's bike.... airbox is history, filters if you can call them that are K&N pods with a sock over them, nothing can stick to them and stop flow really. Registration... lets just say its free of such encumberances.
