hi all.  my bike is idling at  a little under 1000 and i want to adjust this to around 1200.  how can i go about doing this?  there's a srew between the carbs that needs to be turned right?  which way do i turn it?  do i adjust it while the bike is running?  does the tank need to be off to get to the screw?  thanks.  i dont have the manual...

you can adjust it with the bike all together and running.....so just start it and turn the screw (between the carbs) clockwise like you would tighten a screw, but the screw is upside down....if you turn the screw while the bike is running and the rpm are going down or the bike turns off then turn the screw the other way

scratch

Rotate it to the left to raise rpm's, do this while the bike is running after a good half hour ride.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

yeah, just make sure you warm the bike up before you adjust it, otherwise you'll have it running at 1200 of the start, and then when you get it warmed up it'll be sitting around 2k.
