Selling my GS500. Appraisal value?

Well the time has come.  It has been sitting around for a long while with minimal riding.  I guess I have become much more fascinated with my car and neglected riding my GS500.  I have decided to sell it, but do not know where to start for an asking price.

It is a 1993 Gs500e with a little over 9000 miles on the odometer.  It runs great and looks great.  It has a few things that need attending to however.  It has a virtually new pair of dumlops which are showing some sidewall cracks from storage, so those will eventally need replacing.  It also has a small amount of rust in the tank, but has been like that since I purchased it.  One summer it was running badly so I tore the carbs apart and cleaned them out.  There was a small flake blocking a jet.  After cleaning it up it has run excellent.

There is also a problem with the neck berring which I plan to take care of before selling the bike.

The bike is red with white wheels btw, if that affects the value.

So what do you think is a fair asking price?  The next will want to replace the tires soon, and someday tackle the tank.

You could ask 1100 if you get it in top shape before selling, not including the new tires. 1200, 1300 with new tires and hope for 1200 after bantering. I would think that where you live might have a bearing as well. Also it's summer so it'll go a little faster. How much did you pay? Hope you can break even...Just my estimation, I didn't check kbb.com though...

I bought a red 1993 gs in mid april. I paid the guy 1700 in cash for it

beautiful condition, i had a hard time believing it was a 93
new rear tire, front tire is ok for now, but has a few cracks
yoshimura exhaust
6k miles
clean title
no rust in the tank
few scratches, but nothing major

I have had to replace my brakes, but it wasn't noticable when I bought it. I bought it near shebuygan, WI.

The bike is in SW Michigan, and I don't have any photos of it at the moment (..I dont even own a functioning camera right now).  I planned on listing it locally, but if there is interest I will try to get some pictures of it up.
