Ok, well after about 4 weeks of trying to paint my bike myself, the tank and fairings are currently being painted by a moonlighter at my friend's car dealership.  At least it will be done, but I wasted a whole bunch of riding days trying to be the master painter.   :x

i did the same but i didn't take it to the paint shop....although i had to paint my tank 3 times   .....so from now on, i don't mess with paint
