just put up a post yesterday about this local shop giving me the run around. They are trying to say that my floats are warped. So i went and looked at them today and one float is sitting higher than the other. They told me float height was not adjustable and i needed new floats. Suzuki dealer told me the same. So i told them to put it back together and i would do it myself. Are the floats adjustable? Is it in a service nanual?  Should I bite the bullet and buy new floats along with  carb rebuild kits?
Thank you for any help. :dunno:

Yes your floats are adjustable... Rebuild kits are mainly to keep it from leaking... Send me your carbs and I'll sort them out. Usually free, but be prepared for $20 (say) if there is some crap that needs to be drilled out, or sealed with O rings or some like that... BTW the floats, not worth the shipping is that's all you need done... Might as well do them yourself... I will also jet them right into the sweet spot for $40 including parts... pilots, mains, washers and air screw set to 3.
Cool.

I would go wit hthe rebuild kits myself, But the floats getting warped does not sound normal to me. you can adjust the heights of the floats by bending the little metal tab.

i've done it and I knew nothing about bikes or engines

get a Clymer's or Haynes manual they helped me alot, so has everyone on this site

Take the carbs apart and post a pic of your floats here on the board.  It's real easy if you have the manual and have read the how-to listed on this site.  I'm sure several people on this board would be able to tell you if the floats are warped just by eye-balling the pics.
Dude, what does mine say?  Sweet!  What about mine?
