on your handlebar...do you have that little hole in it which the stub from the controls goes into??

if there isn't a hole in the bars...should i just shave the little stub from the control?

hehehemann

I've just replaced my stock handlebars on my 1996 GS with cheap $15 drag bars. I found the installation very easy.
Unscrew the 4 screws that clamp the bars in place.
Loosen the screws keeping the brakes, clutch and mirrors on the bar, didn't unscrew them entirely, just enough to twist them off the bar.
Slide them onto the new bar and tighten up all screws.

The bar ends I bought had the soft plastic part on them which expands when you tighten the screw keeping them inplace in the bar. All I had to do was remove the black plastic caps that were on the end of my new drag bars.

What are you stuck on?
