I raised my handlebars 2" and broght them back 1 3/8". Built a riser out of 1" channel I had laying around, and bought 6 bolts. It works but until I get a welder I can't pretty it up much.
I ride dirt roads a lot and the new set up helps a lot. The front doesn't bottom out so bad, because I can get my weight back. I still want to do progresive springs. The back end is pretty good. I still have it set in the middle and it dosen't bottom out. 01 has adjustable preload in back.
My wrist don't hurt so much either.
Clutch cable binds a little. I can run it under the cross piece under the tank to get more slack. I'm guessing it will burn up if it touches the head. Zip tie should work.
Maybe Ill turn the gs into a scrambler? Up pipes, big sproket, and touring tiers.
