Have cleaned the carbs, and fitted new  o-rings, float seat and neadle, the diahgrams was inspected and looked like new.
Sync is done.
But I still have problems in low and midrange, harsh running and hesitation, my feel like pre ignition or too lean?

Have new plugs, caps and spark wires.

When I had the carbs apart i notice there seem to be som missmatch between the slide insert (white plastic) and the carb body on both carbs dind`t remove these, but there was more then 1 mm oft the plastic insert blocking in the 10 - 2 o- clock possition lokking from the airfilter side.

The second problem was fitting the airfilter, it seems that it is out off shape, so the rubbers between filter box and carbs becomes to short.

Should i go for clamp on filters like K&N or BMC, then I would need advice on jeting.

Yes, chances are you're too lean. Expecially if the bike is stock. Did you look to see what size pilot jets you have when you had the carbs apart? Is the brass plugs still over the mix screws?

Pilot jets will need to be size 40 non-bleeder type pilot jets.

Not too sure about the slide insert or the airbox. I'd have to see it.

Also, float level in the float bowls (duh) affect low end carburetion.

There are white nylon inserts that go into the holes on the bottom of the slides with a jet kit. They are supposed to be trimmed off flush with the botom edge of the slide.
That's the only white thing I can think of.
This would keep the slides from dropping completely down and could possibly cause some hesitation.
