First off thank you all for helping me rebuild my carb. You guys saved me from countless headaches.

The bike fires up just fine and idles fine too. Only thing is that when I give it gas the bike dies out at around 2000 rpm. I've also noticed that when I'm warming it up with choke it goes to 5000 rpm instead of the 3000 rpm it used to warm up at.
Also, not sure if this is related, but whenever it dies there is some kind of spinning noise coming from the engine that come to a halt. No idea.

The choke thing is fine, normal, etc.

Dies when you give it gas may mean the slides are not coming up. Bad vacuum leak, damaged diaphragm or misassembly such that the needle is stuck are things to check.

5000RPM with choke is normal for the GS indeed. with max choke, I do half on startups.
