The bike could be an ex drag bike with a stock motor thrown back in to sell.

I agree.  That's where his $30 grand figure came from.  He spent $10 grand or so on the bike, another $20 grand racing it, and now he wants you to buy what amounts to the fugliest bobber in town for the same price you can get a good stock Busa with seating for two.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if it had a salvage title to boot.  What a toad.
V&H pipes, K&N drop-in, seat by KnoPlace.com, 17/39 sprockets, matching grips, fenderectomy, short signals, new mirrors - 10 scariest words: "I'm here from the government and I'm here to help!"

30g busa, dont forget that he had to run racing gas in his drag bike, so @ 9.99 a gal and he ran 50 gal in it - never mind he had a big spill in his pit where he dumped 25 gal on the floor ... and it caught fire and burnt the pit down and the bike had to be re built, and that itself cost 15g ... yea so there.

That my friends is a 86-88 GSXR 1100 or 85-87 GSXR 750. My fave is the very next version of these 2. Esp the 1100, that 1127 motor ... And that mod isn't 1/2 bad.

How do you turn a stretched bike with a 300 tire?

I don't understand the 'busa scene. They're ugly bikes that people do stupid stuff to. I mean usually I can appreciate mods I dislike from a technical or mechanical perspective, but a fake nitros kit? Really?

You don't turn them.

I've seen plenty of people get their knee down with busas. I've seen plenty of people scrape pegs on sport touring bikes and spark floorboards on cruisers. When you don't have something resembling a car tire as a rear wheel on an extended swing arm it's more about the rider than the ride. To me, if you're not dragging your bike there's virtually no point to lowering it and extending the swing arm...

...That being said, the 'busa scene is one I'll stay out of. Almost every single busa I've ever seen locally has been the motorcycle equivalent of some horrible love child between the ricer scene (fake performance parts on crap cars) and the hip-hop scene. Chromed out rims, candy paint jobs, lowered, fake performance parts, massive rear wheels, extended swing arms, and the list goes on. It's embarrassing really. Almost as embarrassing as that biker riding a sport bike with a skid lid. In the bike world the busa seems to unfortunately have become the glue between the obnoxious harley scene, the sport bike scene, and the dub-2's with spinners scene. Every time someone mentions one within most sport bike groups they get laughed at. I feel bad for the very few busa owners who truly do push their bike to it's limits, get their knee down, and show up the guys on 1000RRs that are afraid to lean over in turns.

In it's class I have high hopes for the ZX-14. Hopefully the guys who destroyed the beauty of the busa won't destroy the ZX-14.

However, regardless I'll stick with the 600RR/1000RR scene, thanks.

SMIDSY, what SMIDSY. If some retard turns in front of you just blow them away and scoot around the wreckage.

And the pipes facing sidewards, rather than out the back, puts to rest the "loud pipes save lives" debate. These pipes will wake the dead, the comatose, and the mum texting her friend "my hair's a mess and the baby's crying and did you hear what happened last night to ..."
