Sadly I have no progress to report yet  :dunno_black:

Hopefully tomorrow will be a day of progress  :thumb:

Nights are getting warm now so it's getting a bit more difficult to get motivated to get to the shed but I must give myself a wee kick in the pants to get moving, otherwise I'll have funds to buy the next round of stuff that needs doing but I'll still be finishing the prep work...

Well, in my city you probably could get off a plane in July with no jacket and you would be quite comfortable  :thumb: :icon_mrgreen:

Got the blade putty on the underside of the cowl last night so I could let it set overnight, letting me just do the bulk of it this morning. It needs between 45 minutes and 4 hours to cure depending on the thickness so I'm not sure if I'll get sanding yet.

In the meantime, another unrelated pic...

I think I should've used the spray putty... still tempted but it's acrylic, so not real sure about using that and then two pack primer/paint on top...

The blade putty is so uneven it's not funny...

Yep Yama, sanding will indeed help that, that is the next step which I've started on  :thumb:

I was just hoping to get a more even layer of putty on, but apparently not, so just extra sanding is all.

The good news I discovered last night is that the putty has done its job well, and all those little divets and so forth in the patches and elsewhere are filling nicely with the putty. These are the bits where the fibreglass slurry and body filler were too coarse to fill.

I'll finish up this sanding then put it aside until it's paint and primer time, then I'll do a high build two pack primer and then guide coat that to make sure it's all nice and smooth. Multiple times if necessary.

EJ, definitely happy to post those pic's to brighten your day :D

This is very true... I'm hoping for a little more speed but suspecting my target of June might be missed at present... we'll just have to wait and see. The effort part is in my control, but the funds part is a different story, requires me to be frugal but unexpected expenses crop up from time to time which hinder that.

Hey Yama,
Cool bike porn GIF's

It kinda' reminds me of how much I cant ride for sh!t. Of course at my age (61), if I slide thru a corner its controlled terror, NOT skill. :icon_mrgreen:
