Hey all, it's been a long time, two years in fact!
While I don't have a GS500E right now, I thought I'd drop a line and see how all of you fine crazy people were doing. I miss you people, and thought I would go and get you guys on my Tapatalk so I could keep track of you all. My computer died a while ago, so my phone is all I have. LOL
So, HELLO AGAIN!!!!

I've had several bikes since the Suzuki. I've had a Yamaha, Buell, Harley, Royal Enfield, Honda, and a Triumph! I'm sadly away from bikes at the moment, as I'm buying a house and my family needs that more than I need a bike. I'm hoping to get another bike in the near future...

I'm ashamed to say.....I don't remember you. Your post count is high enough that I feel like I should.
But happy that you are back! Stick around so we can convince you to get another bike. Maybe even a GS500.

"I've had a Yamaha, Buell, Harley, Royal Enfield, Honda, and a Triumph",..... where pics?! :dunno_black:

Welcome back,...be sweet to pick up a gs after all that experience on those other bikes. :whisper:

Like Bluesmudge, I can't say I remember you either

I wish I did, though, excepting the cruisers we may have similar taste in motorcycles.

I also had a Buell and a Honda (XB12SS and CB500F), but instead of Triumphs I've had, and currently have, Ducatis (both Monsters).

Oh, I was here for quite a while. I spent a very long time crawling around the forums.

Here are a few pictures of the bikes gone by. I'm going to get another one, it's just a question of how long it will be.

Is that wing buried in leaves?  What happ'd to that old girl?  I have a bud who wants a bike so I picked up a kawasaki zg1200 to fix and it's wild how much of a copy it is.

I wonder why they made them so identical? :dunno_black:

What'd you think of that buell?  I fixed one for my bro-n-law to where it was rideable but still had internal engine problem I wasn't going to touch.  Seemed like a fun bike,...

Be interesting to see what u get next

Goodness. . . it's been a long while.

The Wing was an 84, and it needed more work than I was comfortable with. A friend of mine scooped it up and restored it for a friend of his.
To answer your question, they merely copied it. They seemed very lazy with design back then. LOL  :icon_mrgreen:

I loved the Buell, but I had o get rid of it or it would kill me. I made too many bad choices when riding it. . . :hithead:

I was riding a 2020 Triumph Bonneville T100 up until a few weeks ago, when it was totaled in an accident. I'm now in-between bikes, and wishing GS500's weren't so hard to find (and I had money for such things).

Maybe something will pop up one day...
