Edit:  We have finished collecting money for the cat shelter.  Thank you for your generosity!  I am in the process of getting a framed photo to send with the check so Adidas can watch cats play all day every day.

I am going to donate $50 to a cat shelter (Kitty Harbor -no kill shelter in Seattle only a couple miles from his house) in his home city on behalf of GStwin.  Would people like to contribute to this?

Paypal details: johncall (at) hotmail .com .  The money raised will be an open book -I will provide screenshots of the money received so no funny business.  Seeing I don't get any money coming in, basically any payment I see will be considered a donation.

Donations are now complete.  I will mail out a check with a note explaining who Patrick was and how we wanted to honor him.

edit:  We are donating $418 dollars!

UPDATE:  I contacted Kitty Harbor, they are aware that a donation is inbound next week.  They obviously are very pleased we are honoring him in such a meaningful way

Donations by person (names removed for privacy)

In fact I should print out any messages for the shelter posted in this thread also, and include with the check.

He wouldn't care about flowers anyway.  So I have decided the least I can do is honor him in a way I know he would appreciate.

I want to keep this open until May 12 (1 week).  At that time I will mail out a check with a note explaining who Patrick was and how we wanted to honor him.

Chipped in, this is a great thought. I know he would fully approve of this and is smiling down knowing the local kitties are getting a little extra help.

Update:  Already at +$350!!!  No goals set, no donation too small.  Even a dollar will feed a cat for a few days.

If you would like to tell tell the people at the shelter, or even if you do not donate, anything about Patrick please post the message here.  I think it would be nice to let them know why we are doing this, and what he was like.

edited for horrible sentence structure...

I think his address was:
4025 39th Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98116

This is based on having been to his house and then using google maps to figure out the address.

I have a feeling someone would have already stepped in to take care of the cats -- a neighbor or one of his employees perhaps. If not, I know at least one of those cats is an accomplished mouse and bird hunter so they should be okay until help arrives.
