i just got an 88-89 gsxr wheel and its supposed to be a direct swap of cush drive. well upon looking at the drive its not the same. the gs sprocket and carrier have 5 things that stick out and the gsxr is 6. same goes for the rubber things inside the wheel. sorry for the bad vocab. and the gs carrier is smaller in diameter than the gsxr so it wont fit that either. the gsxr wheel came with no sprocket or carrier just teh rubber pieces so i might be sol i dont know yet.......i need advice from someone who done this wheel swap or another one.
then you didnt get an 88-89 750 rear wheel, you got a newer wheel.
then the bastard lied to me :x
Not so fast!
Can anyone explain why BikeBandit shows two different rear wheel styles for both the 1988 and the 1989 model years? For each year one of the styles has a 5-section cush drive and the other has a 6-section drive.
Check out the diagrams:

o shaZam! i just left negative feedback cursing him up and down about it being the wrong part. thanks kerry for bringing it to my attention. so waht should i do about this? do you think a wrecker/junkyard would do a trade?
the 6 bolt....wheel should be a gsxr1100 wheel....got two of them.....heavy!!!!!! AND 5.5 WIDE
that is more then likly late 89 5/89 is considered a 90. 4/89 is considered 89
so does anyone want to buy it? funny thing is, it has the same color and three "spoke" pattern as ours does.
if you read the blurry print....the 5 bolt is a 17x4.5...J and K model
the 6 bolt is a L model
....a 90 GSXR is a L model

You're referring to the "blurry print" above the
REF.NO. PART NO. DESCRIPTION Q'TY REMARKSheadings in those diagrams that I linked to earlier?
That makes sense. Perhaps BikeBandit is simply suggesting either wheel as a replacement part for the '88 and '89 models. (More unhappy campers ... coming right up!)
Luke, I guess you can let your feedback stand.... :x
