Title: Finished pics of resurrected GS
Post by: destroyer on June 27, 2004, 01:17:53 PM
A month or so ago I posted some pics of my work in progress and the finished pics minus the body work.  I finally got the body back from being painted and put the bike back together.  Its a 2000 model and I had it painted PR4 Dodge red just like my red ram hemi.  Took my first ever ride on this machine a couple days ago and am very impressed.  The bike fits me well and has impressive handling.  I'm really enjoying it.

Traded an old GS250t for it.  Was wrecked when I got it (see top pics).  Fixed mostly with used parts.

I replaced:

forks
headlight assembly
gauges
handlebars
mirrors
gas tank
front fender
left side panel
battery
multiple carb cleanings

I also got a spare parts bike with the deal.  Really all it is (parts bike) is a frame, engine and wires.  Had most of the stuff robbed off of it already.  The parts bike is a '96.

The fixed bike is a 2000 and it had a little over 3200 miles on it when I got it.

I rode it all day today and had more fun than the law should allow.  Very very fun bike to ride.

Thanks to all,

Stephen
