Hi, I have been working on my new bike and have found that if I turn the wheel to the right far enough my idle speed goes up quite a bit. I looked at the carb when doing this and found it was the choke cable being pulled (or pushed). The Clymer book doesn't seem to have any info on routing this cable, and since I bought the bike used I am not sure if it is routed correctly. Anyone else have this problem? Or can someone tell me what the correct route should be? Thanks!

The normal routing is from the choke lever, in between the forks (under the headlight) and then back towards the engine, etc.
When I installed bar risers I had a similar symptom, so I pulled the choke cable out from between the forks and sent it straight toward the engine from the choke lever. Yeah, it "hangs out in the breeze" a bit, but I don't even notice it anymore.
I have the same prob right now... but rerouting should fix it. I thought it was the throttle at first, but unfortunately not... so now I have to take it all apart again. :-/
