Squid-o-licious :thumb:  :thumb:   Now all you gotta do is learn to ride them out through a couple gears

Damn, I can't see the video! Ah, what the hell, I pretty much know what a wheelie looks like after I crashed big time getting carried away on one. And yes, if you REALLY want to wheelie your GS500F just let that clutch  FLY at 11K rpm in 1st gear. go ahead. I dare Ya! GOOD LUCK!

Ollie, Is yer bike ok now after the experiment with the flying lessons at 11 thou?? That was one hilarious story. An' I know what Ghetto means when you get a little shocked when the front "accidentally" comes up during a shift...like I said before, I didn't think the GS had the taters!! Gotta love this GS500, ya gotta love this forum.

But seriously, my "sprain" actually turned out to be a fracture. go figure. it still hasn't stopped me from riding. Just remember, wear ALL your protective gear when you practice stunts, cause ya WILL crash (at least once, and HARD). So don't Buddha Loves You too much when do, cause ya now know the deal. :thumb:

Its 99% there. All I'm waiting on now is the stator I ordered. Otherwise I am just charging my bat. every night before I commute. its all good. Hey, gave me an excuse to throw on some suburban bars! Not to sound like a wuss, but I think I'll take a break from stunts. at least until my hand heals completely. ;)

I think I'll leave the stunts to all you young Hercs and Xenas from now on. One busted up spine is enough for one lifetime. Glad yer at least up an' runnin' 99%...oh weel, bones heel :) ...but still, ya gotta love it...GS500, GStwin forum, Srinath...Kerry.....all the rest of yas.

Hey all I get is sound on Windows Media Player.  I've tried everything I know.
I can't get it to run in Quicktime or Divx either.  What's the deal?

i did those at around 10 000 rpm but i feel like my bike doesn't have the power it had before

it's really hard to keep the wheel up because the gs just doesn't have "the balls" but i'll try by sitting way back and i'll try to shift to 2nd

i've never crashed or droped my bike.....i've been riding (all together) for about a year and did about 40 wheelies

There are only two kinds of riders, those who've crashed, and those who will... if you ride long enough, this holds true.

I've been able to keep it up for a while. Going about 15mph, and reving HARD. Never tryed shifting though. My bike has been running like crap so after I do the carbs I will mess with it.

ive had mine up but hard to find ballence point cuz you have to snatch it up quick before you run out of gear. as soon as my chain stretches abit more, i will put on the 41 tooth rear sprocket, already have 15t front, coupled with my pattened milk crate straped to rear rack with alittle ballast. it should help abit.    i also need to make myself some case savers.

i did a really good one tonight at work
hit the balence point and then some
rode it for maybe 40 yards could have gone farther, but the k-rails in the middle of the lot stopped me

just remember when you do these cover your rear brake

i think more people should do wheelies and stunts on their GS and tape it too (show it on the internet) because we can't compaire our bikes to the supersports everyone has....it's one thing to stunt a gsxr 750 and another to stunt a GS

Well the other day I did my first wheelie. I came around a corner in second doing about 20mph. I threw it into first because I didn't know if it could do a second gear wheely. Any ways, I put it into first gear and rev the engine to 8-9k and drop the clutch. I'm not sure how high it came up but I know it did because I couldnt stear. I tried riding it out but the only other wheely experience I had was on an old 125 doing it from standing. But the feeling was amazing. I rode it a little bit, maybe stayed up for 2 or 3 seconds. But it was so much fun.

Sorry for stealing your thread. Your vid was pretty awsome. That has to be the best wheely I've seen done on the GS  :thumb:

it seems the lighter the bike, the harder it is to get up in a nice controled stable rate. my 82 gs750e was a bad ass with the wheelies, i could only hold it to 3rd but that heavy ass engine didnt rock back and forth too easy once up, you had to clutch it up in first, slap 2nd before finding ballence point and then tap 3rd and let it settle down.

Now, I haven't exactly tried, but has anyone been able to do this at 5200ft altitude?  I would suspect that there isn't enough HP up here to do it, but I am just wondering.

i did mine at 4600ft alt.  on stock gearing the first time with a bike that had 56k on the clock

currently +9 on the rear and wheelies are oh so easy to get up from almost any speed in first and i can bounce/clutch them up in second... but i can't keep the wheel up...
