Well, it rained today and I got the bright idea of putting some cheap window film on my windscreen... It look really good from about 10 feet but up close it was pretty scary! There's quite a compound curve to it and the film keeps wrinkling...
I took some pictures but I can't figure out how to add them on the discussion board... I ended up just taking the film off... I would rather have a stock visor than have a smoked visor that's less than perfect...
When some company gets around to making one of these, it'll look bad ass!

Hairdryer.
Be careful no to heat it up so hot it starts to affect the windshield but window tint/film usually responds well to a judicious helping of heat. Once it softens some it'll be able to stretch, and conform to the compound curvature.
The second time I tried it I put the film on loosly and put the windscreen and all into a large sink full of hot water... worked better than the first time but not result I was looking for...
I'm just going to wait for some big company make a short run of overpriced windscreens and bust out the mastercard.... :o
