Title: lots of gas in the air filter

so I just started my bike after 4 weeks. The bike started up just fine. But after a little bit alot of gas started coming out of the air box (left side) from a hole. Any ideas whats causing it?

Check that the petcock is not on PRI.

there  are 3 positions on the petcock.. "on" "res" "pri" my was on "on" when it started dumping gas. not on "pri"

I had the same problem a while ago. Culprit was the needle valve seat's O-ring. It was so rotten it didn't hold the valve seat in place so fuel was flooding the carb all the time. Check those immediately, mine developed a small fire in the carb and made quite a mess.  :(
