My bike was parked outside circuit city the other day and when I came out it was on its right side. wtf...anyways the only damage I noticed was a bend in the handlebar. Its not real bad, I thought that maybe I could try to beat it back a little...would this work or would the handlebar snap??? Thanks...I dont really want to replace it right now because I have almost no time to do it..
It will most likely bend back to shape, but will be weaker for next time... yea like it can get any weaker... but it will. Its just 2 parts paper and 1 part cheese, no problem bend it back.
Cool.
Srinath.
Go for the free repair of bending, but if that doesn't work it only takes an hour, or less to replace the handle bars. It can also be an excuse to put on some custom bars... like anyone needs an excuse.
oppy00 is right, replacing the bars is pretty easy. I just bought a pair of Bikemaster bars which are very reasonable to replace my bent handlebar. Of course you need new grips too!

That sucks about your bike, do you think a car bumped it? Or someone was just being a dumbass and pushed it? :guns:
I bought these to replace my bent bar after I crashed:
