well my bike is anyways. are the screws easy to find? they need to be backed off 3 full turns, right? so do i just screw them all the way in, then back them out 3 turns? i can do this with the carbs on the bike? should take me 12 mins total? what else do i check?
The air/fuel mixture screws are easy to find, but not easy to get to:

You need to CAREFULLY drill out the brass plugs, which may not be possible without pulling the carbs from the bike. (I don't know - I've never done it.)
i'm guessing they're already out. i think the previous owner adjusted that.
what's the stock settings for them?
2 and 1/4 out if memory serves... its not much difference to 3 but it does make the diff between lean and OK when you add in 40 pilots.
Cool.

:) i'm not changin the pilots. i just want it running.
ya, they've already been drilled. the manual won't tell me exactly how far to go with them, so i'll trust the guru. i think i'll take them off my bike tho. thanks for the pic kerry.
anyone have any other opinions quickly? i'm doin this in like 4 mins.
eh, called my dealer :P
he said he usually starts at 3 turns out. screw them in, lightly seat, then 3 turns out.
further out means more fuel gets in
for me it was easier to remove carbs to do this. probably not the most time efficient, but it was easier :dunno:
ya, i ended up removing mine as well. see my post "help quick - electrical" :(
I use those little screw driver bits... with a mark on one face, so helps you count as well...
Cool.
