Post by: PITBULL on July 19, 2004, 10:23:40 AM
i am looking for some web sites that carry aftermarket parts for the 2004 gs500f.  I have looked at a few places but they only list the gs up to the 2002 gs500e model do any of you know where I might can find some cool accesories for my bike?   Thanks    PITBULL

The 'F' model is too new, yet, to have an aftermarket for it, yet. But, most parts for the '02 E will fit an 'F', you just have to consider your fairing, inspect the inside ends of your handlebars (for aftermarket barends), these are only some of the things that we know are different that affect your choices. Your forks are different, too, but we are not 100% sure how the aftermarket for the E affects the forks, yet.

Compatibility of fork parts between the E line ('89-'00) and the K line ('01-'03) is partially addressed in the Will 2001 GS500 fork leg assemblies fit a 1991 GS500? thread.

But did I hear that the forks on the 'F' ('04) differ even from the 'K' line?

I was looking at the install for the progressive springs.... My '04 has different caps on the top... It looks like a hex bolt...
